Advanced Wastewater Treatment for Removal of Ammonia and Nitrates, the Greenbox
OVERVIEW
This advanced modular technology enables the removal of nitrogen from water by directly converting ammonia and nitrates into hydrogen and nitrogen. This type of technology will prevent water pollution problems such as algae bloom.
Advantages
-
55% reduction in capital costs
-
70% reduction in operational costs
-
90% reduction in energy consumption
-
Economical onsite and modular
-
Appliance type solution
Currently funded by the US Department of Energy. We are developing advanced electrocatalysts, electrochemical reactors, and partnerships for testing in wastewater treatment plants (municipal and industrial).
