ELECTROLYSIS OF SOLID FUELS FOR HYDROGEN PRODUCTION AND RARE EARTH ELEMENTS
OVERVIEW
In this project, we are working on the efficient electrochemical conversion of solid fuels to produce hydrogen, fuels, and advanced materials with captured emissions.
Advantages:
-
95% decrease in greenhouse emissions
-
Fuels at 3X lower than US Department of Energy target with
-
50% reduction in energy consumption for hydrogen production
-
Economical onsite and modular
Other applications involve the revalorization of coal ash into rare earth elements and hydrogen. This project offers a solution for sustainable waste management of coal combustion products or fly ash.
