SHORT BIO
Juan Carlos Muñoz-Senmache is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. His doctoral research focused on the development of advanced composite adsorbents for the efficient removal of contaminants from water.
Juan Carlos joined the CETI-LAB at Texas Tech University in September 2024, where his current research is focused on optimizing separation technologies for nitrogen recovery from wastewater effluents using novel porous materials. His work aims to advance sustainable solutions for fertilizer production by improving the efficiency and performance of nitrogen recovery processes.
