Jedidian Adjei
Ph.D. Student
SHORT BIO
Jed graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in petrochemical engineering. After graduation, Jed worked as a teaching and research assistant at the same institution for a year. During this time, he assisted with research focused on biomass waste valorization, with a particular interest in biofuel production from cocoa pod husk. Later, Jed joined a mining explosive manufacturing company, where he worked as a laboratory technician and process engineering trainee. Currently, he is pursuing a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. at Texas Tech University, where he joined in Spring 2023. In his current role, Jed is working on the Sludge Electrolysis project in CASFER. The project is focused on developing a process to extract valuable nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen from sludge and simultaneously produced nitrogen-based fertilizer from the biosolids by application of electrochemical technology.
